A colourful grid-net shell for Colorado

Phantom Pavilion

Introducing the Phantom Pavilion, a striking pavilion for Colorado’s Prairie Basin Park!

Situated atop a hill, this pavilion is a new landmark for the surrounding area, providing seating and shelter throughout the year.

Its form is a triple-vaulted shell that rises to a peak of 16 m, comprising two cross-laminated layers of aluminium to produce an inverted grid-net. This lattice allows sunlight to shine through with a playful mix of shadows, whilst protecting users from the elements.
