This year’s Clerkenwell Design Week, which ran from 24th to 26th May, included a series of talks, discussions and debates, showrooms, exhibitions and street spectacles, all to explore and push the boundaries of design.
With sites set up around Clerkenwell, in which the AKT II office is based, the event drew people from all over, inspiring and entertaining.
We were involved in the creation of the Future of Design pavilion, CDW’s first education and community project. The pavilion was designed and built by GCSE students in a series of workshops run by Scale Rule, a collective of architects and engineers, with support from AKT II, Grimshaw, Hanson Plywood Ltd and Library of Things.
