Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2016 revealed

Serpentine Pavilion

This year’s Serpentine Pavilion by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) has now been revealed. Along with AECOM, we have been providing structural engineering services for the design of an “unzipped” wall of fibreglass which opens up to form the pavilion.

We are also supporting the design of four Summer Houses that will accompany the main pavilion. These draw inspiration from the nearby Queen Caroline’s Temple, originally built in 1734. Designers Asif Khan, Kunlé Adeyemi, Barkow Leibinger and Yona Friedman each offer their own unique take on the design brief.
