25 years of AKT – part 9 & 10.

Art – it’s at the core of every one of our designs. This year as we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we consider how art and the books we have published have and continue to inspire us as designers, engineers, and creatives.

Engaging with art – part 9/25.

We design with purpose, and our buildings are our way of expressing and advocating our practice across a diverse range of projects whilst always looking out to extend our reach and collaborations.

Engaging with art and artists allows us the opportunity to explore our own discipline further and to put our research into action, using the latest technology to create projects that can adapt, develop, and flow in harmony with their surroundings.

Communicating design – part 10/25.

Books are one of the many ways of communicating our work. Through our passion for engineering and design, we can produce literature that expresses our form of art. In celebrating our practice’s design-led success, our publications have revealed stories of our founding and the ways in which we continue to evolve, reflect and respond.

Publications such as ‘Design Engineering Refocused’, ‘deliverance of Design’ and the ‘AKT II Picture Book’ have allowed us to feature some of our most outstanding projects and explore essays from leading industry academics.
