Hanif Kara, Design Director and Co-founder of our practice, was invited to present at Foster + Partners in-house ‘Ethnicity Festival’. We were fortunate enough to welcome Narinder Sagoo into our offices earlier this year to present to our staff on creativity.
Narinder Sagoo, Senior Partner & Art Director at Foster + Partners, and Hanif were deliberating ideas on how built environment professionals can tackle some of the biggest challenges currently facing humanity and how to move mutual agendas forward. The pair devised that one approach would be to continue to join the initiative at Foster + Partners - an initiative that celebrates and champions pluralism, diversity and dialogue within the industry, without compromising technical skill or denying biases by making issues like these more visible.
‘This was one of the rare presentations where I was able to speak about my own personal journey and the impact that it has had on influencing and shaping AKT II’s design agenda and practice profile over the years. I spoke to the staff at Foster + Partners about how dialogue, our cosmopolitan make-up, and plural approach are powerful instruments in solving human challenges, such as climate change.’ – Hanif
