Plans for the Museum of London’s new home have been approved by the City of London Corporation’s Planning and Transportation Committee. We’re excited to be working on this project with Stanton Williams and Asif Khan alongside conservation architect Julian Harrap.
Following the project’s announcement in 2015, we have been a part of this exciting development providing our structural, civil and geotechnical engineering services. The scheme will provide the Museum of London with a new home at West Smithfield and is set to be one of the largest cultural projects in Europe.
“This development captures and responds to the social and economic shift of a city that puts the principles of circular economy first. As one of London’s most high-profile regeneration projects, the proposed scheme has worked extremely hard to retain and reimagine the historic markets at Smithfield, transforming them into functional flexible spaces that will give the Museum of London a new home.” Design Director Marta Galinañes Garcia
We’re excited this project has reached this milestone and we’re looking forward to the next stages of this project.
